Snowflake Cake

My friend Kristien who just moved away, (*tear*) and is also a baker, a vegan baker at that! asked me to make this cake for her best friend Aimee's birthday. Aimee really loves snowflakes so we went with that theme.
Kristien and I were very sneaky and made Aimee believe that Kristien had accidentally sent her birthday present to me. So Aimee and I met up and I gave her this cake instead of the "present" she thought she was getting. She was so surprised! It was really fun making this cake especially knowing the whole time Aimee had no idea.

The cake is red velvet with cream cheese frosting, covered in white fondant and decorated with fondant snowflakes and balls and silver and white sugar pearls. Finished off with a goldish/silver ribbon.
