The Land Before Time

My friend at my "real job" Lindsay moved away to Portland Oregon, and I'm really sad! It seems that all of my great girl-friends move away to bigger and better things. (Anika, Kristien, and Lindsay... seriously I love you all, but, um I hate you...) And it sucks because it's hard for me to make girl-friends. I don't get a long with most girls very well... I've always been better friends with guys. I just don't like all of the "drama" that the ladies bring... you know? I don't have time for that.
I LOVE having girl-friends, but it seems that good ones are so hard to come by... at least for me.

Anyway.... I digress.

So, yeah. I'm sad. And when I'm sad, baking makes me happy. So I baked her a cake! A surprise going away cake too! She had no idea. Yay, I love surprises!

So me, Lindsay and a bunch of our friends had dinner together before her departure and I brought this:

Now, let me explain. 

Lindsay has this "thing" for The Land Before Time. Some might call it an obsession. (Like my obsession, with the Wizard of Oz (shh, don't tell)) 

So she used to watch the movie over and over as a kid, and still to this day "cries at least four times during the movie". Don't judge! 

She loves the character Little Foot so much, because she can relate to him. So she has this cute little foot doll from when she was a kid, he's traveled from New Mexico, to Utah, and he'll now be making his way to Portland! 

It's cute, and I can totally relate to her obsession. 

So what better way to say, "I'll miss you" than with a Little Foot cake, that (hopefully) she'll always remember.
